The great temporary exhibitions

Before becoming a comic strip album by Baru, one of today’s masters of the comic strip, Canicule was a sombre and passionate novel by Jean Vautrin. This exhibition staged by CBBD is a first of its kind. At the express request of the Belgian Comic Strip Centre, Baru agreed to preserve all of the many preparatory works – photos, sketches, rough drafts – which reveal every stage of the album’s creation. So from this remarkable work the visitor can trace the whole creative process of a great contemporary author.
